SEA Jam 2009 & March updates

Taipei Swing is off to SEA Jam 2009 this weekend, Feb. 20-22, proudly represented by 4 Taipei dancers - that's double the amount from last year, when Claire and Maria were the first dancers from Taipei Swing at this annual event.  This year, Taipei Swing is excited to go back to Singapore and share our love of dancing with dancers from all over Asia, as well as to reunite with old friends, make new friends, let Asia know that Taipei is now on the swing map, and of course to learn from and dance with such swing greats as Matt Bedell, Naomi Uyama, Skye Humphries, and of course the legendary and inspiring ambassador of swing, Frankie Manning!  For more information on SEA Jam, check out www.swingapore.com.

Not going to SEA Jam this year?  Never fear!  We'll be back and raring to dance on Monday, February 23, carrying on with class and open dancing from 8.30-9.30pm at HRC.  Please see the previous post for exact location information.

Then, as February swings into March, Taipei Swing will have a new day and a new home!  The March schedule is as follows:

All classes in March will be held at Danswell, 293 ZhongXiao E. Rd., Sec. 4, 9th floor; MRT, Sun-Yat Sen, exit 1.  

Please note that Danswell asks dancers to not wear street shoes inside the studio.  Therefore, please be sure to carry your dance shoes with you and change into them at the studio.

Drop-in students:  NT$300

4-class cards:  NT$1,000

8-class cards:  NT$1,800

12-class cards: NT$2,400

NTUST students with ID:  free

open dancing/practice:  NT$50 for all dancers
